Naymat Dairy Industries Private Limited is right in the heart of Bohri Kadal. We are located in Chalpan Kocha, which is one of those old Srinagar neighborhoods with narrow lanes and a lot of history. Working here is different from being in a big industrial park. You really feel like you’re part of the local community. Our work starts very early in the morning, often when it is still dark outside. That is when the milk starts arriving. We deal with all sorts of dairy processing tasks in our facility. It can get pretty cramped in the Kocha when the delivery vans are trying to navigate the streets, but everyone just makes it work. We have a small team of local guys who know the area inside out. We aren't interested in being a giant corporate entity. We just want to process the dairy properly and get it out to the shops. The smells of the dairy are something you get used to quickly. We spend our days cleaning equipment, checking temperatures, and loading crates. It is physical work and it can be quite tiring, especially in the winter months when the water is freezing. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. We just keep the machines running and the floors clean. It’s a simple business built on hard work and being reliable for the people who need dairy products.
