Ms Shah Marble

Our shop is over in Sanat Nagar. We are right near the Jnk Bank, just by the Bye Pass Bridge Crossing. It's a busy corner because of the bridge. We have been here for a good while, selling marble to folks in the neighborhood. The yard is usually full of different stones we’ve brought in. It’s a bit noisy with the cars going over the bridge, but you get used to it after a week. We keep a variety of blocks and slabs. Some are plain, others have lots of colors in them. People usually come by with their contractors to pick out what they like. We don't have a fancy office, just a desk and some chairs where we talk about the pieces. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but the marble stays fine. We try to keep the stock updated when we can get new shipments. It's a family thing, mostly. We know the people around here and they know us. If you are coming from the bye pass, you can’t miss us before you cross over. We just keep things simple and focus on the stone. There's always something to move or organize in the back of the shop. We use a small pulley system to help lift the heavier pieces so we don't hurt our backs too much. It is a steady business and we like the location despite the traffic. Most of our neighbors are shops too, so there is always someone around to chat with during the slower afternoons.
