Our place is out on the Tengpora Bypass. We are situated pretty close to the Lower Court, so there is always a lot of activity in the area. The bypass stays busy with cars and trucks heading out of the city. We have a decent-sized yard where we keep things, but it’s mostly gravel and can get a bit muddy when it rains. The building itself is just a simple structure. Inside, it’s mostly just tools, spare parts, and the smell of grease and old metal. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights. Most people find us because they’ve been told where we are or they see the vehicles parked outside. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot and keep at it until the evening. It’s a lot of physical labor, and our hands are rarely clean. We don’t spend much time in the little office area because there’s always something to do out on the floor. Sometimes we have to wait a while for parts to arrive, so things can pile up. We just take it one day at a time. It’s not a fancy operation, and we don’t pretend it is. We just work on what comes in and try to stay on top of the schedule. The court traffic nearby keeps things interesting, especially during the middle of the day when it’s most crowded.
