Memnto Arts is based out of Madhabagh in Nowshehra. It’s a local place where we spend most of our time working on different artistic pieces. We don’t have a massive warehouse. It’s just a workshop where things get done by hand. The neighborhood of Nowshehra is where we’ve always been, so everyone knows us. We do a lot of engraving and small detail work. It’s slow going because you can’t rush this kind of stuff. The tables are often covered in sketches and small tools. Sometimes the light in Madhabagh isn't great, so we have to move our benches closer to the windows. We aren't much for talking or fancy sales pitches. We just let the work sit on the shelves until someone takes an interest. It’s a bit quiet here most days. We usually have a radio playing in the background while we work. The floors are a bit uneven and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we don't worry about that much. We’re more interested in the projects we have in front of us. It’s a small operation, just a few of us trying to keep the tradition going. We get our supplies from the local market when we run out. It’s a basic way of doing things, but it’s how we’ve always operated. No stress, just steady work in our little corner of Nowshehra.
