Mechanical Hospital & Central Heating Division Srinagar

This place, the Mechanical Hospital & Central Heating Division, is located down L D lane here in Srinagar. It’s not your typical hospital with doctors and nurses; we deal with the mechanical side of things and central heating systems. Given how cold it gets in Srinagar, our work with the heating division is pretty important for the buildings around here. We spend a lot of time looking at pipes, boilers, and heavy machinery. The lane can be a bit narrow, but we manage to get our equipment in and out. It’s a government-run sort of place, so things have a certain way of being done. The building itself has some years on it. We aren't about fancy decorations or modern lobbies. Our focus is on making sure the systems keep running so people stay warm. It’s a lot of manual work and technical fixing. We have a crew that knows these old systems inside and out. Some days are spent troubleshooting why a heater stopped working, and other days are for regular maintenance. It’s honest, greasy work most of the time. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, and everyone in the department knows their role. We just keep our heads down and handle the mechanical needs of the city’s infrastructure.
