Malik Pashmina Weavers

Our workshop is tucked away in Shadab Colony, right here in Ahmad Nagar. It is where the Malik Pashmina Weavers have been working for quite some time. It is not a very big space, but we have our looms set up and that is what matters for the work. The sound of the machines is something you just get used to after a while. Most days, we are just busy with the wool and the patterns. It is dusty work sometimes, and your back can start to hurt after sitting for hours, but this is what we do. Ahmad Nagar is a quiet enough place for the most part. We do not have a big sign outside or a fancy office. Most people find us just by asking around the colony. We handle the pashmina carefully because it is delicate stuff. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait, but usually, we just keep at it. My brothers and I run things. It is not always easy keeping everything organized with all the thread everywhere. We do not spend money on fancy websites or anything like that. We just focus on the weaving. It is a lot of manual labor, to be honest. But we have been doing it this way for a long time. People come by to see what we have finished. We are just regular folks working out of our local spot in the colony.
