Elegance

Elegance is located over in Lal Bazar at the Moulvi Stop. We are right there with the Jammu Kashmir Bank Limited, which makes it easy for people to find us. Lal Bazar is always moving, and we are right in the middle of all that energy. Our shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot into it. We mostly deal with clothes and things that people want to wear for special days or just to look a bit nicer. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We know the regular customers who get off at the stop and peek through the window. Every morning starts with unlocking the shutters and doing a bit of dusting because the road outside can get quite dusty. We spend our time arranging the displays and helping folks find the right size. It gets crowded on the weekends, especially when there’s a holiday coming up. We don’t use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is just written down in our ledger. We’ve been at this spot for some time and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around the bank. Sometimes we just sit on the stools and talk to the neighbors when it’s slow. It’s a simple life running a shop in Lal Bazar, and we enjoy being part of the local community. We just try to keep the shelves full and the lights on for whoever walks in.
