Khan Provisional Store

Our shop is located in the Ranghamam area of Nowhatta. It is a quiet corner compared to the main market, which is nice. Khan Provisional Store has been around for quite a bit, serving the people who live in these narrow lanes of Srinagar 190002. We stock the basic things that every household needs like flour, spices, and cleaning supplies. I usually open up early in the morning because some people like to get their bread and milk before they head off to their jobs. The building is old, and the wooden shelves have seen better days, but they hold everything just fine. I don’t bother with fancy displays or marketing stuff because our customers are our neighbors. They know us and we know them. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps and talk about the news or the weather while waiting for the next person to come by. It isn't a place where you will find luxury items, just the practical stuff for daily life. When the snow starts falling in Srinagar, the shop feels like a cozy spot for people to gather for a minute. We try to keep everything stocked up so nobody goes hungry during the long winters. It is just a small family-run business and we are happy with that. We don't have a website or anything, just this physical shop in Ranghamam where we work every day except for the holidays.
