Kashmir Craft Mart

Our mart is located in Krala Pora, Hawal, right near the old Firdous Cinema. If you’re from around here, you know the spot. It’s a part of town that has a lot of history. Kashmir Craft Mart is where we keep all the things we’ve collected and made. It’s not a modern showroom with bright spotlights. Instead, it’s a bit more traditional, with piles of fabrics and crafts stacked up. The area near Firdous Cinema used to be even busier back in the day, but it still has a good rhythm to it. We spend our days sorting through items, talking to the people who make them, and showing them to whoever drops by. It can get a bit chilly in the winter, so we usually have some tea going. The shop is filled with the smell of old wool and wood. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just open the doors and see who comes in. Sometimes it’s a tourist who wandered off the main path, but mostly it’s locals. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but that’s part of the charm. We don’t try to make things look perfect. We just want to show the crafts as they are. It’s a quiet way to make a living, and we’re happy to be here in Krala Pora.
