Jk Council For Social Welfare And Information Technology

This council is run out of Gufbal in the Qaimoh area, near Kulgam. Ab Rashid Dar is the one managing the daily stuff here. We handle two main things: social welfare work and teaching people about computers and IT. It’s a quiet spot in Anantnag, but we stay pretty busy. A lot of people in the village didn't have much access to technology or even simple internet stuff, so we decided to set something up right here instead of making everyone travel to the bigger towns. It's mostly locals coming in to ask for help with paperwork or wanting to learn how to use a keyboard. We don't have the newest computers in the world, but they work fine for what we need. Life in Qaimoh is simple, and we try to keep our work that way too. We deal with whatever comes through the door, whether it's helping an older person with their social benefits or showing a student how to look things up online. It's not a big fancy office, just a room with some desks and people trying to figure things out. We’ve had some challenges with electricity and internet connections lately, but that’s just how it is living in this part of Jammu and Kashmir. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know the area well. It’s about being useful to the neighbors who live nearby and making sure they don't get left behind as things get more digital.
