Jhelum Real Estate Developers Private Limited is located over on Gupkar Road in Srinagar. The office is listed with Javed Ahmad Kochak, and that is where we do most of our daily business. Srinagar is a unique place for real estate because of the geography and the way the city is laid out, so we spend a lot of time just navigating those details. We deal with developers and properties all over the city, but Gupkar Road is our home base. It’s not a flashy corporate office. It’s more of a practical space where we can look at site plans and talk about different land deals. Javed Ahmad Kochak handles a lot of the day-to-day stuff. Real estate here involves a lot of knowing the local rules and the different neighborhoods. We don't really do the whole high-pressure sales thing. Usually, people come to us because they know we’ve been around Srinagar for a bit. We just try to be helpful and give people the information they need about the local market. Some days are just spent on the phone or driving around to look at different sites. It’s a lot of work, but it’s interesting to see how the city changes and grows over time. We aren't trying to sell anyone a dream, we just show them what is available and let them decide. It's a simple way to do business, but it seems to work for us here. We keep it focused and just deal with the properties as they come into our office.
