I Travellers

Habak is a nice part of Srinagar 190001, a bit away from the main rush of the city center. Our spot for I Travellers is right opposite the J & K Co-Operative Bank. It’s easy to find if you’re heading towards the university side. We started this because we live nearby and wanted to work close to home. The office is small, just enough for a couple of desks and some chairs for guests. Most days it’s quiet until the bank opens across the street, then there’s more foot traffic and cars. We usually keep some tea ready because friends often stop by to chat about the weather or the news. We handle a lot of local stuff, helping people figure out where they need to go. It isn't a high-pressure environment here. We take our time with things. Sometimes we forget to update the calendar on the wall, but we never miss a booking. The neighborhood knows us, and we know the shopkeepers next door. The view out the window is mostly of the bank and the people parking their bikes. Sometimes a stray dog sleeps right under our window and we have to be careful not to wake it when we leave. If you come by and the shutter is halfway down, we’re probably just grabbing lunch around the corner. We don’t have those fancy marketing brochures you see in big cities. We just tell people what we know. It’s a decent way to spend the day, seeing the world go by.
