Highland Journeys Adventure

Highland Journeys Adventure is based in the Auquaf Building on Airport Road. We are directly opposite the SBI, which makes it easy for people to find us. Being on the road to the airport means we see a lot of cars and buses going back and forth all day long. It’s a busy atmosphere. The building itself is quite solid and has been here for a long time. Our office is functional. We have some wooden desks and a couple of cabinets for all our records. We don't use a lot of bright lights, preferring the natural light that comes through the windows when the weather is clear. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which we do quite often. The staff here is just a few local guys who know the mountains and the roads around here like the back of our hands. We don’t put on any acts. If the weather is bad, we talk about it. If the roads are closed, we know first. We just handle the day-to-day stuff without making a big fuss. It’s a practical business. We enjoy the work and the people we meet. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with the traffic outside, but inside we try to keep things moving steadily. We are just regular people doing our jobs in a busy part of Srinagar and we stay until the evening.
