Gajoo General Store

Gajoo General Store is situated over in Naid Kadal, which is a part of Srinagar that has its own unique feel. We are specifically located in the Darebal area, carrying the 190002 pincode. Life here in Srinagar can be quite cold in the winter months, so the shop often feels like a little warm refuge for people who just need to grab something quickly. We carry a bit of everything, which is what you’d expect from a general store in this neighborhood. Whether it’s tea leaves or basic toiletries, we try to have it on the shelves. The shop isn't very modern, and we still use some old wooden shelves that have been here since the beginning. It’s a bit cramped inside, especially when we get a delivery and there are boxes all over the floor, but we manage to sort it out pretty fast. Most of our days are spent talking to the neighbors who stop by for their daily bread or milk. We know the families around Darebal quite well, and it’s nice to see the kids growing up as they come in to buy a few sweets. It’s a quiet, steady kind of business. We don't have any grand plans to expand or anything; we just want to keep serving the local folks in Naid Kadal and making sure we have the things they ask for when they walk through the door.
