Fayaz Provisional Store

Fayaz Provisional Store is located right in Chatta Bala, over in the Karan Nagar area of Srinagar. We’ve been serving this little pocket of the city for quite some time now. In a place like Srinagar, having a local store nearby is really important, especially when the weather isn't great or the roads are difficult. We keep the shelves stocked with all the basics—provisions like flour, sugar, pulses, and various household necessities that everyone uses. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much as possible into the space we have to make sure we don't run out. It’s not a fancy supermarket with shopping carts and bright lights; it’s the kind of place where you ask for what you want across the counter and we get it for you. We know the families around Karan Nagar well, and they know us by name. There’s a lot of talking that goes on over the counter, not just about the items for sale but about the weather or things happening in the neighborhood. We try to keep things organized, but when a big delivery comes in, there are boxes everywhere for a few hours while we sort it out. That’s just how it is in a small shop. We don't have any grand plans, we just want to keep the store running and make sure our neighbors have a place to buy their daily needs. It’s a steady job and we’re happy to be part of the community in the 190010 area.
