Sahara Housing Co-Operative Ltd.

We are located at the Haroon Complex on Exchange Road in Srinagar. Sahara Housing Co-Operative Ltd. isn't like those big private banks you see everywhere. We are a cooperative, which means things are a bit more grounded and focused on the members. Our office is a place where people come in to talk about their housing matters and go over their paperwork. It can get a bit crowded in the office during the middle of the day. There are always files to look through and records to keep updated by hand. We deal with people who are looking to figure out their housing situations or manage their memberships. Srinagar is a busy place, and being on Exchange Road means there is always noise from the street outside coming through the windows. We have been here for quite a while now, working out of this same complex. It is mostly about the community and helping members navigate the rules of the cooperative. We don't have any flashy advertisements or big billboards. Most of our work is done across a desk with a cup of tea. It involves a lot of reading and explaining things to people who might be confused about the local process. We just keep the records straight and make sure the cooperative runs the way it is supposed to. It’s steady work, and we see a lot of the same faces month after month.
