Bombay Chemical Industries

Our workshop is situated in the Industrial Estate in Anantnag. We are quite easy to find because we are near the Degree College, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. Bombay Chemical Industries has been a part of this landscape for years now. It’s a cold place in the winter, so we usually have some tea going to keep the staff warm while they work. The building is older, with heavy doors and high ceilings that echo when we move the metal barrels around. We focus mostly on basic chemical supplies that local builders and workshops need. There isn't much of a front office, just a small space with a desk and a couple of chairs where we handle the billing and talk to customers. People often stop by on their way to or from the college area. We try to keep the yard tidy, though it’s hard with all the deliveries coming in and out every day. The staff here are locals who have been with us for a long time, so they know the business inside out. We don't go in for anything fancy; we just make sure we have what people need when they need it. It’s a quiet kind of life here in Anantnag, even with the industrial work. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay busy throughout the seasons.
