Best Travels is located right on the Main Road at Dalgate, along the Boulevard. It’s a spot that’s easy for anyone to find if they are heading toward the lake. We have been operating out of this Srinagar office for a long time. The address is 190001, which is right in the thick of things. Our office is a bit cramped because we have a lot of files and maps lying around. We don’t really go for the polished look. It’s more about having a place to sit and figure out travel plans. We deal with all kinds of travelers, from families to solo backpackers. Usually, we are busy on the phone trying to confirm car rentals or checking the weather for the mountain passes. Life in Srinagar has its own pace, and we just follow that. We don't have a big marketing department. It’s just us answering the door and the phone. Sometimes we have tea with the neighbors while waiting for a client to show up. We know which roads are bumpy and which ones are smooth. That's the kind of thing you learn by living here for decades. We just provide a basic service for people who want to move around the state. It’s not complicated, and we like it that way. Being at the Dalgate junction means we see a lot of the city's daily life pass by right outside our front door.
