D Globe

D Globe is situated over in Bemina, which is a part of Srinagar that has seen a lot of growth lately. We aren't in one of those fancy glass buildings you see in the newer parts of Kashmir. Instead, we have a more modest setup that works for us. The name D Globe might sound like we are some big international outfit, but we are just local folks. The weather in Srinagar dictates a lot of our routine, especially when the winters get tough and we have to huddle around the heater. We’ve spent many years in this spot, and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood. The morning commute can be a bit of a hassle with the traffic, but once we get the shop open, it’s alright. We have stacks of things around the room that probably need to be sorted, but there never seems to be enough time. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It’s just a business in Bemina. We get our tea from the same guy every day. Most people who come in are just neighbors or regulars who have been coming for years. We like the familiarity of it all. It’s not a perfect place, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s our place. D Globe is just where we go to work every day. It's been like this for as long as I can remember.
