Baxy Pharmaceuticals Private Limited is situated at the Main Chowk in Borwah, which is in the Chadoora Tehsil near Srinagar. Our office is located in the spot associated with Javid Jehangir right there in the heart of the village. Being at the chowk means we see everything that goes on in the center of town. There is always a lot of noise from the cars and the people walking to the market. It is a modest space we have here. It is often quite cold in the winter months, so we have a small heater that we keep under the desk to stay warm. We spend a lot of time checking the labels and the addresses on the packages that come through. This part of Jammu and Kashmir is beautiful, but the work here is just like anywhere else. It involves a lot of sitting and typing and making sure the numbers are right. We have a small window that looks out onto the street. Sometimes we stop and watch the snow fall or the rain hit the pavement for a minute. The office is filled with the smell of old paper and sometimes the tea we make in the afternoons. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure the daily tasks are handled before it gets dark. The commute can be slow when the roads are busy.
