Azad Medicate

Our shop is located right at the General Bus Stand in Batamaloo, Srinagar. Being near the bus stand means it is always noisy and crowded outside with people shouting and horns honking. We’ve been here in the 190009 area for a long time. It’s a very busy spot to have a medical shop. The shelves are stocked with the usual medicines people need for their daily health. Often, travelers stop by when they get off the bus because they need something for a headache or some motion sickness. Even though the shop isn't very large, we try to keep everything in order so we can find things quickly. It’s a bit dusty outside because of all the traffic, which means the glass counters and the floor need cleaning every few hours. We open early in the morning before the first buses start moving. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several people want help at once, especially during the morning rush. We just do our best to get everyone what they need without too much fuss. There is no big sign or fancy lights here, just the name Azad Medicate on the front. People in Batamaloo know where to find us. Dealing with the public every day is interesting because you meet all sorts of folks from different places. Word of mouth works fine for us instead of advertising. It’s just a regular local business serving the community near the station. We stay open late.
