Animal Rescue Kashmir (Ark) Foundation

You can find the Animal Rescue Kashmir (Ark) Foundation over in Wazir Bagh. We are in Building number 03, situated in Lane number 02. It is a fairly busy area of Srinagar, but our little corner stays focused on the animals. If you come by, you might hear some barking or see us moving crates around. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It is mostly just us in our work clothes, dealing with whatever situation comes through the door. The building itself is just a standard structure, and we use the space as best as we can. Wazir Bagh has a lot of history, and being based here feels right for the kind of work we do. It’s practical and central enough that we can get around when we need to. There are always chores to do, like cleaning up or checking on the residents we have at the time. It isn't always glamorous, and it can get pretty messy, but that is the nature of the job. We aren't here to make a big profit or look important. We are just here because the animals need a place and we have this space in Lane 2 to provide it. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but we just take it one day at a time without much fuss. We hope people understand that we are just doing our best with what we have and where we are located.
