You can find us at Amrl Charitable Foundation right behind the public park in Karanagar. We’re on the ground floor of the building there. Mohammad Aslam Qureshi is usually around if you need to talk to someone. It’s a pretty quiet spot, which is nice since the park gets busy on weekends. We started this because we saw a lot of gaps in how people were getting help around here. It isn’t anything too complicated. We just try to be a place where people can turn when they’re stuck. Since we’re right in the middle of the neighborhood, people just walk in. We don’t have fancy signs or a big marketing budget. Most of our time is spent talking to families and seeing what’s actually going on. It’s hard work sometimes, but it’s what we do. The office is small, and there’s always paperwork piled up on the desk, but we manage to keep things moving. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we care about what happens to the people here. It's not about being some big organization. It’s more about being a good neighbor. We help with whatever comes through the door, whether it’s food, clothes, or just advice on how to get things sorted with the local authorities. It feels more like a community hub than anything else. Just a few rooms and a lot of heart behind it. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just doing what needs doing. It gets dusty in here with the window open, but we don't mind much. It feels like real work.
