Al Ruhaan India Private Limited is situated at 31-Kaka Mohalla in Nowhatta. We are right near J I T Exports in S.R Gunj, which is a very old and busy part of Srinagar. Working in this area means you are always in the middle of everything. The streets are narrow and there is always something going on outside the door. Our office is a simple place where we manage our trading activities. We don't have fancy furniture or big signs. It is just a place to sit and handle the daily tasks of the business. Most of the morning is spent drinking tea and planning out which orders need to go out first. We deal with a lot of different people, from local shopkeepers to guys who handle the logistics. It is a lot of talking and negotiating. The building itself is old, like most things in this part of the city, and it has its own character. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait for it to come back to finish our computer work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a corporate image. We just want to get the goods moved and the bills paid. It is a very grounded way of making a living. You get to know all the neighbors and the local tea stall guy. It’s a community-based way of doing business and we’ve been here long enough to feel right at home with the daily chaos.
