Abraq Steels is over here on the Hyderpora Bye Pass in Srinagar. If you know where Rahim Motors is, we are located right across from them in the Wazbagh area. It is a good spot for us because the bypass makes it easy for the big trucks to get in and out without getting stuck in the middle of city traffic. We deal with steel and it is heavy, dirty work most of the time. The yard is usually full of beams and rods stacked up. We do not have any shiny showrooms or fancy offices, just the steel and the cranes we use for moving things around. The weather in Srinagar can make things tough in the winter months, but we try to keep the yard clear so we can keep moving the stock for people. It is just a handful of us working here, making sure the orders are stacked right and ready to go. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and talking to the drivers who come in. The noise from the bypass is always there in the background while we work. We have been at this Wazbagh location for a bit now and people know us by the big stacks of metal. We do not use any fancy talk or try to sound like something we are not. We just provide the steel that is needed for the local building projects. It is a basic operation but it is what we do every day. We just show up, move the metal, and head home.
