Sri Vigneswara Dal Mill

We've been here in Budithi Village for a good while now. The mill is at Door No:117/27, right in the heart of Saravakota Mandal. It’s mostly just us and the machines hum all day long. Handling dal is dusty work, honestly. You spend your morning checking the bags and making sure the processing goes right. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where we get things done. Some days the power acts up, which is common around here, so we just wait it out or fix what we can. People from the village stop by often. We know most of the faces. It's a simple setup. You start early, usually before the sun gets too hot. The air smells like raw pulses and earth. My hands are usually rough from the sacks. We don't have a big office or anything, just the main floor and where we keep the records. Sometimes the trucks arrive late because the roads aren't great after the rain. We just manage. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and stacking. But it’s what we do. We’ve seen the seasons change many times from this spot. It’s quiet in the evenings once the motors stop. We shut the big doors and head home. That’s pretty much the daily life here at the mill. No big secrets, just consistent work. There is always another load of grain waiting for tomorrow morning.
