Sri Venkata Bhaskara Rice Industry

Our mill, Sri Venkata Bhaskara Rice Industry, is located at 8/99 in Arsavalli Village. We are right near the Aqua Sure Water Plant, which is a good landmark if you are looking for us. Arsavalli is a quiet place mostly except for when the temple gets crowded. Here at the mill, it is a different kind of noise. We have the de-hulling units and the polishers running throughout the day. The building is an old one and it shows its age. We don't mind. It does the job. We get a lot of raw grain coming in from the nearby fields. My hands are always rough from handling the jute bags. We have about five workers who help with the heavy lifting. The water plant next door is always busy with trucks too. Sometimes the road gets blocked up with all the vehicles. We just wait it out. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything. We just process the rice and move it out to the local markets. It is dusty work and by the end of the shift we are all covered in it. We have a small office with a wooden desk where we keep the ledgers. It is all done by hand mostly. The village life suits us fine and the work keeps the kitchen fire burning. We have been here for years and the machines still run okay. The bags are stacked high in the corners waiting for the transport trucks to arrive.
