Sri Kanaka Durga Tea

You can find Sri Kanaka Durga Tea right at Ambedkar Centre in Rajam. We are situated in a very busy spot, right opposite the RTC Complex and on the road that leads to Srinivasa Theater. It’s near the old railway station too, so there is never a quiet moment around here. People are always coming and going, catching buses or heading to the movies. We’ve been here for a good while, serving tea and managing our little business amidst all the noise and dust. The shop isn't huge, just enough room for the stove, the tea bags, and some space for people to stand and talk. We get a mix of regulars who come every single morning and travelers who are just passing through the station. We don't use any fancy machines, just the old ways of making a good cup of tea. Sometimes we run out of milk or sugar when the deliveries are late, and we have to scramble to find some nearby. It’s a bit chaotic but we enjoy the energy of the Ambedkar Centre. The walls are a bit stained from the steam and the years of work, but it feels like home to us. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us working the long hours from early morning until late at night. It’s hard work, but seeing the same faces every day makes it worth it.
