S K L M Industry is based out in Chaparam Village, near Ramanarasapeta. Our address is 69/11 on Balaga Road. It’s a bit out of the way, which suits us just fine. We have more space here for the machinery and the raw materials. The road can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up. It’s an industrial setup, so there’s always some noise from the equipment. We produce different things here, mostly stuff that requires a lot of manual labor. My clothes usually get a bit dirty by lunch. We aren't trying to be some high-end factory. It’s a local industry that employs people from the village. Ramanarasapeta is the closest big town. We’ve been on Balaga Road for several years now. The building is made of basic materials and has a tin roof that gets loud when it rains. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy logos. People know what we do by coming to the gate and asking. It’s a straightforward business. We wake up early to beat the heat and get as much done as we can before the sun gets too high. There’s always a list of things to do, and we just work through it one by one. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s honest work. We’re just glad to be part of the community here in Chaparam and keep the machines running. It takes a lot of effort.
