R K Rice Mill

If you head down K T Road in Kasibugga, you will find our rice mill at 3-6-521. It is a noisy place when the machines are running, which is most of the day. We have been milling rice here for quite some time. The air is always a bit white with the husk dust and there are bags of grain stacked up everywhere. We work with the local farmers who bring their paddy in by the tractor load. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around. Our office is just a tiny room off to the side where we weigh everything and write out the receipts. We don't have any fancy logos or a big website. Most people just know us from being on K T Road. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. The 3-6-521 building is large enough to keep the rain off the rice, which is the main thing. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it with grease all over our hands. That is just part of running a mill. We try to get the rice processed and back to the owners as fast as we can. It’s a straightforward business and we have been doing it the same way for years. We just keep the motors running and the bags filled as long as there is rice to mill.
