Meghana Drinks

We are situated at 6-9-84 on Palakonda Road, right in the Krishna Park area of New Colony. It is a pretty good spot because there are always people walking by heading to the park or going about their business. Meghana Drinks has been around for a bit now and we have become part of the neighborhood routine. The shop is not very large, just enough room for the coolers and a bit of storage in the back. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and making sure the crates are stacked properly so they do not fall over. It is mostly manual labor, lifting and moving stuff all day long. My neighbor works with me and we usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively. We do not have any big speeches about what we do. It is just drinks. People get thirsty and we have what they want. The Palakonda Road traffic can be a nightmare sometimes, especially in the afternoons, but we just stay inside where it is a bit cooler. We know most of the people in New Colony by their first names or at least by their faces. It is nice to be in a place where people recognize you. We do not bother with polished signs or corporate talk. We just open the doors in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. It is simple work but it keeps us busy.
