Our little office for the L&T ECC Division is located on Z.P.H. School Road in Kasibugga. It’s a busy little stretch, especially when the school is starting or finishing for the day. We are right near Sri Lakshmi Bangles, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. S. Ramarao’s son is the one who handles the responsibilities here. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those big offices you see in Srikakulam town. The building is older, and you can hear the rain drumming on the roof during the monsoon season. We have a few desks and some plastic chairs for when people come by to talk about the work. It gets quite humid here, so the ceiling fan is always on its highest setting. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the different sites in the district. Sometimes the phone lines go down, and we have to rely on our mobile phones to get the job done. We don't have a big team, so everyone does a bit of everything, from filing papers to checking on supplies. It’s a friendly atmosphere, and we usually share a tea from the stall just down the road every afternoon. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to make sure the engineering tasks for the division are handled correctly and on time. It’s just how we operate in this part of Andhra Pradesh.
