Chandrakal Rice Depot

If you head down Parvathipuram Road in Razam, you will find us at number 6-25-43. Chandrakal Rice Depot is basically a big room filled with stacks of bags. We spend most of our time moving these bags around, which keeps us pretty tired by the end of the week. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it is hot outside. We have different kinds of rice piled up in various corners, and we try to keep things organized, though sometimes the piles get a bit messy. It is a local place, so we see the same faces every week. We don't have any fancy displays or lights. Most of the time, the front shutter is halfway up to let some air in. We know a lot of the families around here because they have been coming to this road for years. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow path outside, and we have to help them navigate the space. It is just the way things are in this part of Razam. We drink a lot of coffee during the day to stay sharp while we count the stock. It isn't glamorous work, but it is what we know how to do. We just keep the bags stacked and wait for the next person to walk through the door.
