R.K.Traders

R.K.Traders is based at 83 in the New Dhan Mandi. If you have ever been to a grain market, you know exactly what it is like here. It is loud, crowded, and there is always someone shouting out prices or calling for a porter. Our space is basically a hub for buying and selling, and we are right in the thick of it. The floor is often covered in loose grains that have fallen out of the sacks during weighing. We spend our hours standing around the scales or sitting on wooden benches checking the quality of the produce that comes in. There is no air conditioning, just the big ceiling fans that try to move the heavy air around during the summer months. We deal with a lot of different people every day, from the farmers who grow the crops to the wholesalers who take them to the big cities. The paperwork is constant, and we are always scribbling things down in our notebooks to keep track of the bags. It is a very fast-paced environment where you have to pay attention or you will miss something important. We drink a lot of tea to keep our energy up, especially during the harvest season when the Mandi stays open late into the night. It is a gritty, real way to work.
