You can find us at Plot No.1 on Water Work Road in Karanpur. We are right by the Nagar Palika office and not far from the Government Girls School. It’s a busy little corner, especially in the mornings when the students are heading to class. We’ve been here for a while now, selling the basic stuff people need to build things. It’s a dusty job and the yard is usually full of gravel and bags of cement. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the materials well. The office is just a small room with a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk to the customers. We don't use any fancy language or complicated systems. Everything is pretty straightforward. If someone needs bricks, we show them what we have. If they need sand, we point to the pile. Sometimes the trucks blocking the road cause a bit of a stir with the neighbors, but we try to move them quickly. Karanpur is a nice place to work because you get to know everyone. We see the same faces every day. It gets quiet in the evenings after the school closes and the office workers go home. That's when we usually do our inventory and get ready for the next day. It's a simple life and we like being right here in the middle of everything on Water Work Road. We aren't trying to be anything we are not. We just sell building supplies to local folks.
