Sat Pal Mittal Foundation

We are located at Shop 548 in Ward No-16, right opposite Node No-1 in Giddarbaha. This is the Sat Pal Mittal Foundation. It’s a simple shopfront in a busy part of Muktsar. You can’t miss it if you are walking through the ward. We don’t have a big lobby or a waiting room. It’s just the shop space where we’ve set up our desks. It gets dusty because of the road right outside, so we are always dusting things off. People in Giddarbaha know us by name, which is how we like it. We aren't some far-away organization; we are right here on the street. We deal with whatever comes through the door. Some days it’s very quiet and we just catch up on reading or filing. Other days, half the town seems to stop by. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the area well. We use local transport and eat at the nearby dhabas. Our goal isn't to be famous or have a shiny office. We just want to keep the shop open and be available for the work that needs doing in Muktsar. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We keep our records in big physical binders and use a simple phone for calls. We are just local people trying to make a difference in our own small way without any fuss.
