Vardhman Hospital

Out here in Ratanpura Sangriya, our hospital has been a part of the Hanumangarh landscape for a while. It’s a quiet area mostly, but the hospital stays busy with people coming in from the nearby villages. We deal with all sorts of things, from high fevers to minor accidents that happen on the farms. The building isn't anything like the big shiny ones you see in the cities, but it’s clean and it works for what we need. People know the way here without needing a map. We have a few beds and the doctors are usually around to see whoever walks through the door. Life moves at its own pace in this part of Rajasthan, and we just try to keep up with the health needs of the families nearby. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere, so we spend a lot of time sweeping and keeping things tidy. It’s important for a hospital to feel right for the patients. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word usually spreads just by one person telling their neighbor that they got better after staying with us. We’ve seen kids grow up and now they bring their own kids in when they get a cough or a scrape. It’s just how things go here. We focus on getting people back on their feet and home to their families as soon as it’s safe to go.
