We've been over here on Nh 369 in Bhadra Colony for a good while now. Running a rice mill isn't always the easiest job, but it’s what we do day in and day out. Most days you'll find us busy with the machines or talking to the farmers who bring their harvest in. The dust gets everywhere, and the noise is just part of the background after a few years. We handle the cleaning and processing right here. It’s a local operation, nothing too fancy. People know where to find us if they need a sack of rice or have questions about the current crop. The weather really dictates how things go for us, so some months are much busier than others. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The trucks come and go all day, especially during harvest season. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the equipment so nothing breaks down at the wrong time. If you happen to be driving past Bhadra Colony, you’ll likely see the mill going. We don’t have a big office or anything, just the work floor and a small space to keep the books. It’s a straightforward business. We try to keep things moving so the rice gets where it needs to go without too much fuss. It's just how we've always operated and lived. There's usually a stray dog or two hanging around the gate too.
