We are out here at 5-61/9 in Vidavalur Gramam. Yeturu Dairy & Agriculture Farm (Opc) Private Limited is a mix of cows and crops. It’s a rural life in Nellore. The air is a bit fresher than the city, but the work is twice as hard. We start at four in the morning every single day. The cows need milking and the fields need water. My back usually hurts by noon. We have a small shed where we keep the farm equipment. It’s mostly old stuff that we’ve had to repair ourselves many times. The soil in Nellore-524218 is okay, but you have to work it hard to get anything to grow. We don't have a big team, just family and a couple of neighbors who help during the harvest. The milk has to be moved quickly before it gets warm in the sun. We spend a lot of time just waiting for the rain or worrying that there will be too much of it. It’s not a glamorous business. Our hands are always dirty and there is always something that needs fixing, like a broken fence or a leaky pipe. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just grow things and look after the animals. It’s what we know. We’ve been on this land for a while now.
