In the Narasingarao Peta area of Gudur, you will find our yard at Door Number 2/85. This part of the Nellore district is famous for its minerals, and that’s what our whole life revolves around. Our space is usually covered in raw materials that have just been brought in from the nearby sites. It is a very rural and dusty environment. You won't see anyone in a suit around here; we mostly wear old shirts and heavy boots because the ground is always uneven and messy. The sun can be brutal in the middle of the day, so we try to get all the heavy lifting and loading done early in the morning. We have a tiny office where we do the weighing and keep our records in big ledgers. It is a very simple operation without any hidden layers. We buy things, we sort them out, and then we send them on to the next place. We know almost all the drivers and the people working at the mines. Most of the time, we are just checking the quality of the minerals and making sure the trucks are filled up right. It involves a lot of manual labor and keeping a close eye on the numbers. We’ve been part of the Gudur scene for a long time, and we just keep doing it every single day. It’s hard work, but it’s what our family has always done.
