Jack & Jill School

Jack & Jill School has been sitting here on Venkateshwara Street for a good number of years now. We are tucked away in Ramakrishna Puram, which is a part of Naidupeta in the Nellore district. The address is 3 6 126 if you’re looking on a map. It’s a local school where we mostly look after the younger kids. You won’t find any marble floors or air-conditioned hallways here. We just have solid walls, wooden desks, and plenty of windows to let the breeze in. The street outside can get a bit noisy with people going about their business, but we’re used to it. The teachers here are local women who live nearby and understand the families in Naidupeta. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated systems. We just follow the books and make sure the children learn how to read and write properly. Sometimes we have to fix a broken chair or repaint a wall, but that’s just part of owning a building. We don’t do any big advertising campaigns. Usually, parents hear about us from their neighbors or relatives who live in the same block. We keep things simple and practical. Every morning we start with a small assembly and then it’s straight to the classrooms. It’s a busy day every day, but we like the routine. We are just a small part of the Nellore community, doing our bit for the kids around here.
