Anjanadri Farm

Our place is out at number 44 on BB Road in Devanahalli. It’s a farm, so there is always something going on regardless of the time of day. Being near the main road means we see plenty of people passing by on their way to the city or the airport. We spend most of our time outside, working the land or looking after whatever is growing at the moment. It’s not the kind of job where you ever sit at a desk. My boots are almost always covered in mud, and there’s usually some piece of equipment that needs fixing. We sell what we grow right here on the property. The shed is where we keep the harvested stuff before it goes out to customers. It’s a simple life, mostly following the sun and the seasons. Devanahalli has changed a lot with all the new buildings, but our patch on BB Road stays pretty much the same as it was. We have a few workers who help out, and we all just muck in together to get the chores done. Sometimes the crop is good, while other times the weather makes things very difficult for us. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything fancy. We just focus on the soil and the plants. People stop their cars when they see we have fresh produce ready. It’s direct and honest work. We like being out in the open air. This is just how we do things.
