Sector 7, Dwarka. F-606. Palam extension. Busy place. Clothes everywhere. We cut fabric, we sew. Some days are loud because of the machines. The South West Delhi heat is no joke. We take breaks when it gets too much. Not a huge factory, just a place where we make things. The boxes of clothes ready to go out are stacked in the corner. We check every piece before it goes. It's a lot of work. The staff lives nearby. We talk about families while we work. Dwarka is growing, more shops opening every day. Our office is a bit tucked away in the extension. You have to look for the building number. We started this because we knew how to handle fabric. It’s not always easy, sometimes we run out of thread or a machine breaks down. Then we have to call the repair guy who takes forever to show up. But that’s how it goes in this business. We make shirts, pants, whatever is needed. The morning starts with a quick cleaning of the workspace. Dust gets everywhere in Delhi, especially with the fabrics. We try to keep it neat but by 3 PM, there are scraps on the floor and half-finished samples on every table. It’s honest work. We don't have a fancy showroom, just this working space where the actual making happens. We drink tea, we work, we go home to our families.
