Waves Music

Waves Music is just a small spot here in R K Puram at Mohan Singh Market, tucked away in Sector-6. If you have walked past, you probably saw the guitars hanging in the window or heard someone trying out a keyboard inside. We have been here for a good bit now, dealing with all sorts of instruments. Some days it is quiet, just us restringing a couple of old acoustics that have seen better days. Other times, the place is full of kids wanting to pick up their first drumsticks. It gets a bit crowded with all the gear everywhere, but that is just how it is. We spend a lot of time looking at broken amps or trying to find specific strings for people who come in. There is always some dust on the shelves and the floor needs a sweep more often than it gets one. People from the neighborhood stop in mostly for small things like picks or cables, but we handle the bigger stuff too when someone asks. The stairs leading up can be a bit tricky if you are carrying a heavy case, so mind your step. It isn't a fancy showroom with bright lights or anything like that. Just a regular music shop where things are a little messy and we are usually busy with a repair in the back. Most of the afternoon is spent chatting with regulars who just want to talk about local bands or gear. We keep it pretty simple around here.
