You can find us at Victory Carpet Co. inside Hotel Ashok, specifically in unit 50/B. Chanakya Puri is a different world compared to the rest of the city. It is much quieter with all the big trees and wide roads. Even though we are located inside a well-known hotel, our shop itself is actually quite modest. We have carpets spread out on the floor and others stacked up against the walls. It isn't a huge space, so we have to be smart about how we arrange everything. We have been here for many years, and we have seen all kinds of people come through the hotel doors. We don’t go out and try to promote ourselves with big ads. We just stay here and wait for people to drop by. Sometimes it is someone staying at the hotel, and other times it is just a person who was told to look for us. We talk to everyone like they are just regular neighbors. There is no pressure or sales talk. We spend a lot of our time looking at the patterns and making sure every carpet is clean and ready. It is a very peaceful way to spend the day. The air conditioning makes it a nice escape from the heat outside. We don’t have a big corporate mission. We just sell carpets and try to be helpful. It’s a small, quiet business in a grand building. That suits us just fine.
