Vakta.Social Foundation

Our place is at 159C-21 Mall Res-Comm. It’s a mix of residential and commercial spaces, which is pretty handy. Vakta.Social Foundation works from this unit. It’s not a massive building, just a standard spot where we can sit and get things done. We chose this location because it’s central enough for everyone to reach. The office itself is pretty basic. We have a couple of desks and some chairs that don't quite match. We spend most of our time on computers or on the phone. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. The building has a lot of different people coming and going, which makes it interesting. Sometimes the elevator acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We just want to handle our social projects without too much fuss. Our neighbors in the building are mostly quiet, though you can hear the street noise if the balcony door is open. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets it. It’s a very informal setup. We like it that way because it keeps things simple. No one has to wear a suit here. We just focus on the tasks at hand. It can get a bit messy with all the files and folders lying around, but we know where everything is. This is just our daily life at the foundation.
