Munirka is a crowded place and our office at No 77 is right in the thick of it. New Delhi is always moving fast and we are part of that speed here. We handle a lot of parcels, from small envelopes to bigger boxes that people are sending across the country. The front counter is usually busy with people standing in line. You can hear the sounds of the street outside all day long—the horns, the vendors, and the general buzz of the city. We have a small staff and we all pitch in with the loading and the sorting. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving crates around, and there is always a stack of empty bags in the corner. We don't have much time for sitting around. When the cargo trucks arrive, it is all hands on deck to get things moved. It can get pretty dusty in here with all the packages coming from different places, but we don't mind it much. We have been in this location for a while and the regulars know our faces. It is just a basic courier shop where we try to get the mail out on time. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. It is just about taking a package from one person and making sure it gets to the next person. That is our whole day, every day, in the middle of Munirka.
