We are operating out of Sadh Nagar in the Palam Colony area of New Delhi. Specifically, we are located in Gali No. 18 at house Rz-E-167/1. It’s a very residential area, so it doesn't feel like a big corporate hub at all. Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Co. Group, Japan has this local branch here to stay close to the actual work being done in this part of the city. The streets around here are quite narrow, and there is always something going on with the neighbors. We have a small team working out of this space. We spend a lot of time on the phone and checking our emails to stay in touch with the other offices. It is a very basic environment. We have some plastic chairs, a few sturdy tables, and plenty of wall space for our charts and calendars. Working in Palam means being close to the airport, so you can often hear the planes overhead throughout the day. We don't have any fancy marketing materials or brochures to hand out. We just tell people what we are working on and how long it will take. It’s an honest way to work. We just show up every morning, open the gate, and start going through the list of things that need to be handled for the construction sites. Most of us have worked together for years, so we have a good rhythm for getting things done.
