We are over here in Rajokri, pretty close to the Air Force Station Gate. It’s a busy spot especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get through the narrow roads. Our office is at Harpal Singh Yadav’s place. It’s not a fancy glass building or anything like that, just a solid place where we get our construction work sorted out. The planes from the base fly overhead sometimes and you definitely hear them when you’re on the phone. We’ve been in this part of New Delhi for a while now. Most of us take the bus or ride bikes to get here. The dust from the road gets everywhere, so we are always cleaning off the desks. It feels like a real neighborhood here, not a corporate park. There are a few small shops nearby where we grab tea or a quick snack during the break. The weather gets really hot in the summer, and the fans are always going full blast. It’s just how it is. We spend most of our time looking at drawings and talking to site managers on the phone. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure materials get where they need to go. We aren’t trying to be anything we aren’t. It is just us working out of this spot in Rajokri, keeping things moving day by day without making a big fuss about how we do things.
