Sobti Foundation

We are located in Rohini at Sector-24. If you look for house number 97, we are up on the second floor in Pocket-9. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels very much like a home office. We started Sobti Foundation because we wanted to give back to the place where we grew up. There are only three of us working here full-time, so things can get pretty hectic. We don't have a schedule that we follow strictly. We just deal with problems as they pop up. The office has a big window that looks out over the street, which is nice for a bit of fresh air. We have stacks of books and papers everywhere. It might look messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. We don't have a lot of funding, so we have to be smart with how we use our resources. Most of our days are spent meeting with local families or planning small projects. It’s not a glamorous job, but we enjoy it. We aren't looking for awards or anything like that. We just want to see our neighbors doing a bit better. Sometimes we stay late to finish up the paperwork, but we don't mind. The neighborhood is usually quiet after dark, which helps us focus. It's a humble setup, but we've managed to make it work for a long time now. We usually lock up around seven if the work is all finished up.
